Composition made easy

In order to see exactly what you are shooting, SEACAM housings are equipped with different viewfinder systems. Special optics are used to offer clear image and thus making composition much easier.

For the 'pro' housing the eyepiece is integrated into the housing - the  viewfinder window lies flat on the camera’s eyepiece for optimum viewing.

Utilizing integrated Gallilei optics, the standard viewfinder provides a full view edge-to-edge with only a slight reduction in magnification. When changing films the Seacam viewfinder optic need not be removed, and thus can not be lost.

Housings designed for use with actionfinders (like the Nikon F5) use a glass viewfinder window that lies directly at the viewfinder display and provide an optimal view. The viewfinder port is made of optically coated mineral glass. Switching between the standard pro finder and the special swivel 45-degree finder is easy and requires no tools to accomplish.

Swivelling 45º & 180 sports viewfinder

SEACAM professional housings are equipped with A Seacam exclusive viewfinder system; this unique 45-degree & 180 degree sportsfinder extends the viewfinder image to a magnified 1:1 perspective. The view is brilliant, intense, and right-reading top to bottom and left to right.

Brightness and size of the picture can well compete with the few sports viewfinders on the market. The viewfinder image is brilliant and shows each information the right way round on the edges of the picture. The 45 º view angle is an invaluable advantage for macro, vertical format and over-under photos because it can be swivelled into four lock-in positions at the housing. For spectacle wearers the viewfinder can be adjusted to +/- 3 diopters. Finally, the extended relief from the S45 finder allows room so the regulator does not hit the back of the housing.
